Books that sometimes I can stay awake to read

Many things

I often try to do a little work from home, on the days I am not working. It keeps me calm.  Harvey is not usually too keen on me doing this.  A little while ago I was reading work emails, and realised Harv was oddly quiet.  I asked "what are you doing Harvey?, and the response was "Charlie is playing with me". And so he was.  A little 'Blair Witch' meets 'Bob the Builder' perhaps. It didn't seem to bother the dog though.

Other things that have made me laugh out loud lately are:

My friend Jo's appalling parking

And...Harvey and Mabel Rutter. What a gruesome twosome they are.  Mabel has stayed at our house overnight for 2 Saturdays in a row.  The first time they trashed Harvey's room. They found my sanitary towels - now renamed by them as "sticky nappies" - and stuck them on Harvey's bedroom wall.  Here they are the first night, followed by a snap of the condition of Harv's bedroom.

They were asleep by ten pm, so not too bad really. However, they were just lulling me into a false sense of security.  Then there was "The sleepover - part 2".

They finally fell asleep at 11:50 pm, and only then because I was in the room with them. I had thought they had gone to sleep around 10:30 pm, as all was quiet. Then, at around 11:30 I heard voices. I opened the bedroom door and was assaulted by the choking vapours. Eucalyptus. Somehow - from where only god himself knows - they had found an entire tub of this

Vicks Baby Balsam

They had smeared it everywhere.  All over themselves. All over the furniture. In the carpet. On their beds. In their hair. Mabel looked like this

Here they are the next morning - and no, Mabel's hair is not wet

Heaven

I love my car. I love it. I LOVE it. So does Harvey. Davin does not. He says it makes him feel like a gay hairdresser.

Apologies for the lack of blog action. Our wireless router has been playing up. We have had intermittent internet access - I have even tried to be a geek and have downloaded some 'firmware' in an effort to fix it.  Davin has gone out and bought a brand new router, which seems to have made the old one shudder back into life.  No doubt the minute we return the new one to the shop from whence it came, internet access will cease.

On a lighter note, we Yummy Mummys are off to New York in 42 days. Ha ha ha ha HA!!!!!!
