Birthday boy
The blonde and curly-haired one is now a whopping 3 years old.
He is very pleased, and when you ask "How old are you Harv?" He replies either "seven" or "older". We need to work on that. Still, his lack of age-awareness did not stop me from being a law-abiding citizen and telling the man at Big Space that he was 3 years old last Friday (this meant I had to pay one whole pound more in admission charges, than had I taken him the day before).
Big Space was very fun. Even for me - largely because Mabel was bullied by a horrid little girl - and lets just say I sought sufficient revenge. Revenge pleased me. I can't post about the details, as my actions would sound terrible in print. Suffice to say the little bully was unharmed.....kinda.....he he hee hee! That will teach her to push my future daughter-in-law around.
Harvey's birthday party on Sunday went with a big bang. A little bigger than I expected as almost everyone we invited came. Child attendees were: Jasmine, Olivia, Mabel, Dora, Sophie, Jessica, Emily, Erica, Emma, Tom, Ben, Ned, Ben, Samuel, Harry, Rebecca, Emma, James, Georgie, Alex, Olivia, Gabriella, and Thomas - PLUS in almost all cases both sets of parents. Plus me, Davin and my Mum. All of the downstairs rooms in my house were turned into a playroom of some sort or another.
Above are Harv and Mabel in the "Chill-out room". Fat chance - the kids ignored the sublime music and books, and just bounced up and down on mattresses, bean-bags and pillows. See below for our take on "The Village People" - except with a pirate in place of the Red Indian.
Harvey was also lucky enough to have 2 birthday cakes. One from Grandma and Papi in France (note it is made of 100% sugar sweeties)
And one made by me
that was a lie.
